Easy and Nutty Date Desserts

October 14, 2021 , date palms

Date desserts are one of my favourite desserts. I love to eat them on a special occasion or whenever someone offers me something sweet. The texture and flavour are extremely mild making it perfect for any number of occasions. In fact, you will probably be surprised at just how many different versions of the recipe you can find. It is a staple in many American kitchens and I have no idea why!

There are many variations on the theme, but one that is very American is the caramel Date Dessert. Caramel is the main flavoring in this version but there are subtle hints of chocolate and nuts. It can vary from slightly sweeter to rich in colour depending on the brand you buy. It is a fairly simple dessert to make although it can be quite time consuming. I often put this to the back of my mind and only come back to it when I am feeling lazy and need a little pick me up.

Other popular variations of date desserts include the more exotic creations such as the cashew nut Date Pudding or coconut Date Pudding. These are also great ideas for an evening date with friends. You can easily combine these two very popular recipes if you do not have any nuts in your pantry or fridge! You can make a peanut butter-stuffed date palm and serve it with a mixture of date fruits and peanuts to kick start your date night.

There are some other great desserts that do not have to have nuts in them to be delicious. The texture can vary widely and there is nothing wrong with that. Some of the other great textures include the dates, pear and apple. Pear and apple are very common as dessert and are a great way to get a wholesome taste without adding too much sugar. If you are trying to lose weight you should try a few different fruit based desserts to get a good idea of what your body reacts to.

Another great recipe for dessert involves the classic American chocolate cake. There is a simple method to baking a great chocolate cake and you can use it as a starting point for many different versions. All you need for this recipe is a nice piece of cake that has been prepared by mixing the butter and shortening until the product creates a smooth consistency. Next you will need to add the milk, flour, sugar and baking powder and mix thoroughly. You can then add the shredded coconut and set in the oven.

If you are looking for something a little bit more indulgent then you might want to try some of the salted date caramel crunch cookies. These cookies have a lovely texture and chewy exterior. To create these cookies all you need is a graham cracker crust and you can place the cookie dough on the crust and bake it in the oven. You can then add some powdered sugar and mix again.

Another great recipe for Date desserts is a combination of almond cake and pecan pie. For this pie you will need pecan pie filling, a cherry brandy or cranberry sauce, rolled dates, unsalted, chilled fresh raspberries and whipped cream. All you have to do is combine all of these ingredients together and bake the cake. When it is done you can add the cranberry sauce, dried cranberries and the cream. Put this dessert on a plate and add a cherry on top and enjoy.

Finally, if you would like to try a date pinwheel cookies with a slightly nutty flavor then you should try a recipe using dates and nuts. First you will need to prepare a batch of your favorite nut mix. Then, you will heat up a stovetop to bring forth your mixture. Take the mixture and add the dates, nuts and vanilla. Cover the container and let it cook for about thirty minutes, until the mixture is done.
